Charter for Micro and Small (MSE)

It is our mission to ensure that your banking experience with us is unrivalled in excellence. The Citizen's Charter is one more effort for improvement of our Customer Care measures. It gives you information on your rights as a customer, the mechanisms available to you to correct us if necessary and also on the products and services offered by us. Our aim is your Delight through our customized services. This Charter is our way of stating with confidence:

Through the Citizen's Charter the Bank has committed itself to constantly endeavour to customize its initiatives for addressing the varying needs of different segments of its vast customer base. In fulfillment of this commitment, the Bank has evolved a Customer charter for the exclusive use of its customers in Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) segment. This Charter provides details of the special terms and benefits that the Bank offers to its MSE customers.

MSME segment consists of THREE major set of borrowers, viz.


Investment in Plant & Machineries in case of Manufacturing Enterprises

Investment in Equipment in case  of Service Sector Enterprises

Micro Enterprises

Up to Rs. 25/- lacs

Up to Rs.10/- lacs

Small Enterprises

Above Rs. 25/- lacs and up to Rs.500/- lacs

Above Rs.10/- lacs and upto Rs.200/- lacs

Medium Enterprises

Above Rs.500/- lacs and up to Rs.1000/- lacs

Above Rs.200/- lacs and up to Rs.500/- lacs

The Charter discusses the facilities available to the Customers under MSME as a whole.

Acknowledgement for receipt of loan application by branch by affixing date stamp.

Simple loan application form for all credit facilities to Micro and Small Enterprises and for Medium Enterprises.

Time Norms for disposal of loan applications:

Limits Time Limit for Disposal
Up to and including Rs.25000 15 days
Over Rs.25000 and upto & inclusive of Rs.2 lakh 21 days
Over Rs.2.00 lakh 8 weeks


No collateral security for advances up to Rs. 10 lac and accounts under MSME sector.

Collateral security are also waived for advances up to Rs.100.00 lakh for viable projects based on good track record and financial position under CGTMSE scheme.

Composite Loans up to Rs. 100 lac are sanctioned to Small Enterprises under single window scheme.

Loan quantum: Minimum 20% of projected annual sales turnover (P.R. Nayak Committee norms) for working capital requirements.
Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Micro Small Enterprises (CGTMSE).

The Bank is a member lending institution of the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises and is extending coverage to all eligible loans under Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme.
Eligibility under CGTMSE scheme.

  1. New or existing Micro and Small Enterprises.
  2. Availing credit facilities up to Rs. 100 lakh without any collateral security/third party guarantee.

Under this scheme, one time guarantee fee and Annual service fee is charged as below

  • An one-time guarantee fee @ 1% of credit facility for limit up to Rs. 5 lakh and 1.5% for limit above Rs. 5 lakh (0.75% in the case of North eastern Region up to Rs. 50 lakh) is to be paid upfront to the Trust.
  • Annual service fee @ 0.50% on the credit limits up to Rs. 5 lakh and 0.75% p.a. for limits above Rs. 5 lakh on the credit facility sanctioned is also to be paid to the Trust every year.

Simplified loan application form for MSEs

Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) at the request of Banking Codes and Standards Board of India (BCSBI) has devised a simplified loan application forms for all categories of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). The simplified format as suggested by IBA is enclosed herewith.

For credit facilities of Rs. 25 lakh and above, the customers need to furnish certain additional information / data as indicated in the check list.
