Prof. V Kamakoti B.E., M.S., Ph.D Director
Prof. V Kamakoti, B.E., M.S., Ph.D, is the Director of IIT, Madras. He has special knowledge in secured system engineering & security in Information Technology. He has created the SAKTHI micro processor which is India’s first indigenous RISC-V processor development programme. Earlier, he has served as the head of India’s National Task Force on Artificial intelligence and he is a leading expert in technological consultations. He is also a member of the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB). Apart from being a noted scientist, he has keen interest in organic farming and presently heading the project titled “Re-generative Agriculture Stack Architecture (RASA) executed by IIT Madras. Prof. V Kamakoti is inducted into the Board of the Bank under Majority sector to represent “Information Technology and Agriculture & Rural Economy”. Earlier, he had served on the Board of the bank from 27-04-2011 and completed his first 8 year term on 26-04-2019.
