27. What is the Security of the Mobile Banking ?

28. What are the TIPS for use of the PIN?

• Always choose unique PIN numbers only.
• Avoid choosing PIN that are obvious birthdays and telephone numbers, etc.
• Destroy the PIN mailer after memorizing or changing the PIN after first usage.
• Your PIN should be 4-digits number.
• Do not use a PIN that contains part of your account number.
• Do not disclose your Mobile Banking PIN to anybody, not even to a Bank employee.

29. What are the TIPS for the Secured Mobile Banking?

1. Beware of Virus

Do not download any software or game application without verifying its security and privacy features from the website. To protect from the virus use anti-virus software:

• Install anti-spyware software in your mobile phone.
• Delete junk messages and chain messages
• Do not access any URL that you are not sure about
• Do not download any file from sites that you are not sure about.

2. Configure the PIN for you mobile handset

All the mobile handsets have the optional feature of a PIN which can be set up. Once you switch on the mobile phone, the PIN is validated to use your mobile handset.

3. Update your mobile handset with latest software

The manufacturer or dealer of your mobile may provide updated software for your mobile phone regularly. You must check the availability of software updates regularly from the website.

4. Do not share your mobile handset

To protect from the virus use anti-virus software:

• Clear the browsing history time to time
• Do not allow access to your mobile phone by others before logging out from sites.
• Remove the temporary files and the cache file from your handset regularly.

5. Do not share your PIN with anyone.

Its highly suggested that you should not share your PIN with anyone for security reasons.

6. Do not leave your Mobile Banking application session unattended. Always exit from your Application.

Do not close the application in middle , instead do exit and close the Application

30. What should I do if I got Error in the middle of doing Transaction ?

Error Message : 29009 - Unable to send request Connection closed. please try again :java.IOException. Your GPRS Connection was broken. Kindly close the Application and restart again to continue. Kindly check the Status of the transaction which was effected.

Points to Remember :

• Beneficiary must be added before transfer of funds.
• Funds transfer can be done for already added beneficiary
• Beneficiary added in internet banking will automatically get synchronized with this application during Registration.
• Beneficiary added in this application will automatically get updated with the beneficiary list in internet Banking.
• If a customer adds a beneficiary after synchronization in internet banking the customer needs to Synchronize the beneficiary to get updated in the application.
• The option of OWN accounts/Other CUB Accounts / Other Bank Accounts is incorporated in the menus Add beneficiary/View Beneficiary and delete Beneficiary.
• If the customer wish to change the Mobile Number they have to inform the same to Branch in writing .And customer also instructed to delete the application and download once again and register the same using the same MPIN.

31. Can I use my UPI PIN in Mobile Banking?

You can use UPI PIN for doing Mobile Banking transactions till it expires, After the PIN gets expired, You need to set separate PIN in Mobile Banking for Mobile Banking transactions.
Mobile banking PIN and UPI PIN are different.
